Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Club President Suzy Zimmerman opened the meeting and introduced the guests of the 4 Clubs.
 
Then the Presidents of the 4 Clubs briefly reviewed their Clubs’ service projects.
 
 
Irv Keschner (Palos Verdes Peninsula Lions Club) reviewed his Club’s projects in the community and Mexico, high school scholarships, and natural disaster aid.
 
Sandy Farrell of PV Sunset Rotary Club reviewed our international aid to the Philippines, Project Amigo in Mexico, 4H Grant, community services, and the upcoming Festival Del Corazon raising funds for local, national (Wounded Warriors) and international (Puerto Vallarta) projects.
 
Larry Marinovich (Kiwanis Club of Rolling Hills Estates) reviewed his Club’s support of the Boys and Girls Club Christmas party, Palos Verdes Marathon, and other local projects.
 
Suzy Zimmerman (PV Peninsula Rotary Club) reviewed her Club’s projects, including the very successful annual Concourse d’Elegance fundraiser displaying vintage automobiles, a progressive dinner hosted sequentially in several homes, starting a new Interact Club at Chadwick School with a sister Interact Club in Seoul, Korea (120 Chadwick students signed up to join the new Club), and awards to the Palos Verdes Educator of the Year.
 
A joint project for our 4 Clubs was outlined by Perry Lyon (Palos Verdes Peninsula Lions Club).  He presented representatives from the 4 Clubs, including Roger Schamp and Jackie Crowley of PV Sunset.  A Harmony Concert series is being started with music students from the Palos Verdes Peninsula and Palos Verdes Estates High Schools, to provide them with opportunity for developing their talents while providing a cultural experience to the South Bay community.  The first concert is scheduled for April 27, 2014, and venues are being discussed.
