Sarah Botkin, our newest member, was born in Chile and moved with her family to the South Bay where she lived until second grade. Then she moved to Spokane, Washington. She moved again to San Diego, where she attended Torrey Pines High School for two years and then transferred to Mount Carmel High School.

She was active in the Mount Carmel Interact Club where she was Vice President in her Junior year, President in her Senior year, and was awarded a Rotarian Scholarship. Among her Club’s achievements were sponsoring a high school student in Kenya, Operation Smile (cleft palate repair), funding water wells in Africa for safe water supplies, Homefront Hugs (thanking our military personnel), AMVETS (supplies for returning veterans), and a Chili Cook-off.

Sarah is now in school working towards a broker’s license, and is transferring to USC for a business degree. She has been active in our Club, and has agreed to cover for Angi Ma Wong with the Palos Verdes High School Interact Club.

Her business training and contacts and her Rotarian networking will pave the way for a very successful professional career. We wish her well in her future endeavors.
