Where are you from originally? If not from LA, how did you end up here?
I am originally from Chicago. While in the air force I was assigned to the Space and Missle Systems Division in El Segundo. 
 
Tell us about your occupation.
I was a professional military Officer, Interceptor fighter pilot, manager of the Space Launch Vehicle Division, Deployment Manager for the F18 Strike Fighter for Hughes Aircraft Co. and Writer, Contrails - Memoirs of a Cold Warrior.
 
What do you do for fun?
I enjoy fly fishing, music, reading, growing orchids, and playing tennis.
 
Why did you join Rotary and why have you stayed?
I joined because I was invited by a close friend.
 
Rotary's attitude of "Service above Self", which is also their motto, offered opportunities to practice what I believe.
 
What is your favorite Rotary experience?
Serving as president of Palos Verdes Sunset Rotary, and serving as vocational chairman of LA5 Rotary downtown.
 
What is your favorite book? Favorite movie?
My favorite books are The Bible and Caesar by Colleen McCullough.
 
My favorite movie is Gone with the Wind.
